So, a few days ago it was me and my boyfriend's first anniversary, because it was a week day and we both have school so spending the whole day together is really impossible.
That's why we've sort of celebrate it earlier, on the 17th of May instead.

Met my boyfriend at about 12pm and headed to Raffles Place with empty stomach.
After a god knows how long of train ride, we arrived at Raffles Place. At first i thought that the place where this cafe is located would be rather hard to find, but we managed to find it in like less than 15 minutes. We had an reservation at the cafe from 2pm to 330pm. After knowing where is the cafe, we still have plenty of time left, so we decide to have lunch first !

We settled down with McDonald. The interior design of the McDonald is really pretty, looks like its a cafe in some ang moh country like Italy. The ambiance there is really peaceful.
We took our time with our meal and enjoy the peaceful ambiance there. I finished my food first so i have time to take some selfie :3

Then we headed to the cat cafe, Neko No Niwa ! Oh and did i tell you guys why we are visiting this cafe? It's because my boyfriend have a soft spot for cats and he had been bugging me to go ever since he found out about the cafe. I love animals too so i thought we would visit cat cafe for this special occasion!

Neko No Niwa was opened on 25 December 2013. The name "Neko No Niwa" means "cat garden" in Japanese. It is a cat themed pet cafe where you pay a time-based fee to watch or play with cats in the cafe while having delicious desserts and coffee. There are 13 cats in the cafe and all of them are adopted. The message that the cafe owners want to convey to people is that we should adopt animals than buying them.

So we arrived at Neko No Niwa ! It was at the second floor above a restaurant, the walls along on the sides of the staircase has really adorable drawing of cats on it.

The cafe was really different from any other cafes outside because the cafe was lit with warm yellow lighting and the aroma of coffee was really nice. Cats were roaming around in a different room, and the other customers were enjoying the company of them.

The staff handed a booklet with information of the Do's and Don'ts in the cafe and told us to wash our hands clean with soap before entering.

Finally we can enter the room! I'm actually afraid of small animals even tough i love them, i think they are super adorable. After being with my boyfriend, he kinda make me get used to small animals and not afraid of them. I still have a little fear for the cats but still, I can't wait to play with them hehe.

Inside the room, the environment was really soothing and comfortable. Some cats were playing with other customers, while most of them are sleeping. We went at the wrong time.
But nevertheless, we still took many photos with the cats! I especially like this two because i totally can't figure out why they can sleep so soundly in such a small place because this is like squeezing two person on a single bed hahahah . The cats are toooooo adorable. Many of them are just quietly sleeping while a few of them are looking out of the window making me wonder what they are thinking.

Sadly, one and half hour passed really quickly. We had a great time playing with the cats, laughing at their silly actions, taking photos and just relaxing.
The environment is really good for reading a book, listening to some soothing music or simply just letting our mind relax while looking at the cats.

The soothing environment made us really tired. We wanted to go home without dinner but then i thought we should at least eat something, so we headed to Dhoby Ghaut station and had really delicious bean curd and you tiao there. Yumyum :9

Overall, we've spent a really awesome day out and our first experience at the cat cafe was really good, will definitely visit it again. The cats there are really adorable and fun to play with.

I'll leave the link to the website of the cat cafe here, those who are interested, i really encourage you to visit them! It is a great place for cat lovers or those who like cafe-hopping.
